Master Gardener, co-chair, Bay-Wise Committee, Univ. MD Extension
Jim is a Native of California, earned a BA from the University of California, moved to Maryland in 1998 for a work assignment. Retiring in 2007 from the Federal Government, he became a Master Gardener and completed his certificate of Landscape Design from Anne Arundel Community College. Jim Co-Chairs the Bay-Wise Committee teaching residents practices to improve the quality of our waterways. He’s a Watershed Steward Candidate, a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP-1) and designs and installs conservation gardens for public and private spaces. Jim was featured in this Fall's Capital Style for an article "Go Native" on ways homeowners help the environment with simple gardening techniques.
