John Page Williams, Senior Naturalist for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (ret. 2019), served in many capacities, from fundraiser to field-trip guide on every river system in the Chesapeake. This interview was one of the first Voices of the Chesapeake Bay interviews, recorded at an old church in downtown Annapolis back in 2000. The discussion was inspired by Williams’s book Chesapeake Almanac: Following the Bay Through the Seasons (Tidewater Publishers/Schiffer Publishers, 1993). His other book include Exploring the Chesapeake Bay in Small Boats, and, Chesapeake: Exploring the Water Trail of Captain John Smith.
